We made it, safe and sound! Thank you to all of you who prayed for safe travels!!! I would love to write something thoughtful and meaningful but really we just want to settle in and go to bed. So today you get our day in a quick synopsis and photos...
We are just not sure about the elevator, we decided to use the stairs :)
Looks like a nice cheery place! Glad you are there! Please tell everyone the Hinzes are doing well! Praying for you!

ReplyDeleteHey I think they must have massed produced that soviet era elevator b/c we rode one just like it in Ufa, Russia and didn't know whether to laugh or cry :) Congrats on making it there!! Also, know of another American family there for court on Wed and then Mom staying the long haul...be happy to connect you two if interested...now go hug your little boy :)
ReplyDeleteYay!!! Glad you both made it safely. How exciting for your family. Can't wait to read more :-) Take care, you two! Fran
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! I was going to say the same thing. Our apt in Russia had an elevator just like it. Believe it or not, me, my husband, our coordinator AND our luggage all fit in that thing. It was pretty scary! The simplicity of the apt reminds me of ours in Russia too. I rememner leaving and my husband and I swearing we were going to scale way down and only have what we need... That never happened! Lol But I wish it would have. :-)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you made it safe and sound. Enjoy your time there! Can't wait to hear about you meeting your son :-)))
so so excited that you guys are there!! such a big huge step!!
ReplyDeletehugs!!
That's the apartment we stayed at after gotcha day, when we had Seth!!! :) How ironic is that? In fact, Seth pulled down those curtains in the living room. Makes me cry to see it. Brings back so many memories. I love you guys and can't thank you enough for going to get Valentin.
ReplyDeletehooray! Love you guys. Praying...
ReplyDeleteWOW. I'll be praying for You!!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs.
